Vashti Bowlah is a writer from Trinidad and Tobago. Her stories have appeared in various international publications such as The Caribbean Writer, St. Petersburg Review, Poui, WomanSpeak Journal, Akashic’s Duppy Thursday, Signifyin’ Guyana, Tongues of the Ocean, Jewels of the Caribbean, Susumba, and  St. Somewhere Journal. Her stories center on the humble lifestyle, culture, and traditions of East Indians in Trinidad & Tobago. Bowlah is an advocate for reading and literacy, and enjoys sharing her life experiences and journey as an author through visits to schools and public libraries.
