Rochita Loenen-Ruiz attended the Clarion West Writer’s Workshop in 2009 as the recipient of the Octavia Butler Scholarship. A Filipina writer, Rochita currently lives and writes in the Netherlands. Her work has appeared in a variety of online and print publications. When she is not engaged in frantic bouts of writing, she keeps house, tends to her children, gives piano lessons, and volunteers for a Filipino women’s organization.
